Emma and Lucy spent the night on Saturday. While we were having dinner with Jill and Wade who had come out to spend the day, Aunt Jill and her atrocious burps made a little salad shrapnel land on Emma. Of course she had to model the fall-out. Gross!

(For those of you that are gullible enough to believe this, not really....just joking with Emmy)

Here is Byron modeling his new robe from Charo....just like Lucy's except it is blue. Emma also got a very cute shirt but she escaped when I had the camera out so we didn't get a photo.

As soon as Lucy saw him in his robe she had to run into the bedroom and get hers and race back to put it on. Funny that she didn't want him to outdo her in such a big thing.

A little hug!

About the only way we could get a picture of Byron was to kind of catch it when he slowed down for one second.

Lucy posing....just like a girl!

New Robe

Charo brought Lucy this gift from Spain recently. She also brought gifts for Byron and Emma but so far Lucy is the only one to see hers because we keep her on Tuesday nights. Isn't this robe so cute on her? We will put pictures up of the other kids with their gifts when we see them next.

Emma and Lucy are both signed up to take gymnastics during the week and Emma will also be taking dance (jazz, ballet and tap). I can't wait to see them in action. Cute!

Fish Sticks, Beer and a Flower or Two

For some reason a funny old memory keeps popping in my head. Dave was supposed to be watching the kids on a Friday while I was at work. I don't really remember their ages but for sure it was at least grade school or younger. I am not sure where Brian and Kyla were in this memory but I don't think they were at home or if they were they just let the little ones do this.

Dave's method of "watching kids" was to sleep in. Well Jill and Kelli thought they would surprise him and fix him breakfast in bed. They had been warned that they could not cook AT ALL without adult supervision so they did the next best thing. They woke him with the most lovely breakfast of cold fish sticks, a can of beer and had picked some flowers and put them in a vase.

Ha, ha! He choked down ALL of it (except the beer).

Happy Birthday Byron

Byron's 2nd birthday was on the 31st and Jill and Wade had his party on Saturday. That just happened to be the same time my sister, Kristi and her family were visiting so Jordan, Addie Mae and Lexie were were there to share in the fun.

The theme was helicopters and Jill made his cake. Isn't it cute? She didn't even have a picture to go by....wish I could be so talented.

Bryon wasn't having any part of having fun. He had to demonstrate how he felt about having people at grandma's house when he was just a little too tired and cranky.

He wasn't very interested in opening his gifts either. Just wanted to have the sucker in the gift that GG and Grandad Max brought. But look at all the cousins willing to help and see.

Jill is trying to get him to blow out his candles and he wasn't cooperating very well either. Tired little boy....finally mommy helps his blow them out.

Look at what a change came over him when he got to taste the sugary frosting and cake. It was like night and day. He was laughing, showing off and eating to his hearts delight.

Yum! Perhaps we will serve cake first in the future. Look at that happy face!
Happy Birthday little man. I love you so much!
