I thought as a mother of four I had seen or experienced most everything. I was wrong, very wrong. There is this gift called grandchild!
Lucy spent the night Tuesday as is usual. We had a nice dinner with the family for Wade's birthday and all went reasonably well considering there were two 2-year old children at the table in a restaurant. Only a couple of tantrums, mean faces, spilled water and hiding of eyes on grandma's shoulder, crying, not wanting to eat the macaroni and cheese, etc. That is what I come to expect. However, the fun part was also there.....holding their hands and running across the street all the while little peals of laughter coming from them both. Great fun and I still smile when I remember.
So this morning after a good nights sleep for Lucy, she ate her breakfast, took a bath, combed her hair and brushed her teeth. She was dressed and waiting for grandma and grandad to finish getting ready for work. As I was putting on hand lotion I noticed she was very quiet and seemed to have disappeared from our bedroom. Next thing as I turn around I hear "Gwamma". (Disclaimer: Those faint of heart might want to stop reading here). Lucy is standing there around the corner with her pants around her ankles, her pull-ups off and cupped in her hands with a large pile of poo sitting right in the middle of them. I don't know how she managed to take them off, walk back from the hallway with her ankles tethered together like that and not spill anything. Little stinker is so independent right now. She tells me "do it self" all the time. I must be on the watch even more when she is quiet.

Ha ha what a goof! She is quite the little independent turkey!
Ok. The poo story is funny. I want to know what happened next!!! Secondly, the video is precious. It took me back to my moments with Sarah, Emily and Jeff when they were little. It'll be fun to watch Olivia as she begins to talk. Oh, and Lucy's eyes give her away. She still looks happy even with the 'faces' that are supposed to say otherwise. Too cute.
I like your Christmas blog background too! Did you do that yourself or does blogger provide it? (I'm too lazy to check).

I hope you sterilized the poor child!!! Did you look for any poo art on the walls? That story cracks me up! Very sweet video of Lucy Loo too - what a cutie pie!
Kristi
Little goober! She's definitely Barney's niece...heh heh heh! I'm just impressed she kept her poo tower in the middle of her pullup! What an impressive feat!
Karen...thankfully she came bearing the gift for me and handed me the pull-up...no spills and no wall art, Kristi. She is being potty trained and she thinks she can "do it self". So she disappears quite often and when she does we know to go searching right away. She is usually in the bathroom taking it off and sometimes makes it and sometimes doesn't. Little stinker!
The background for these Karen is from this web site. She gives really good instructions on how to do this.

Oh Vonda! Little stinker is right. I think we are finally all potty trained over here....maybe.
