Walk On The Wild Side

Ayden has begun walking around things like the coffee table recently. He is a little wobbly still but thinks he is so, so smart. He is almost crawling as well. He gets up on all fours and crawls a few steps then dives for whatever he is after when he judges that he is close enough. So funny.

"Here I am Gramma, walking like a big boy."

"Yes, I am a smarty pants and I left you a pile of drool and smeary finger prints as a souvenir."

A Little Routine

Lucy is set in her ways. I guess most three year old kids are to some degree. When she spends the night with us she is always the first one up. When her eyes open, the first thing out of her mouth is "I want cereal". Even if she wakes up in the middle of the night it is always the same. I have to tell her it needs to be morning time to get her to go back to sleep without eating her cereal.

Occasionally she will eat scrambled eggs and toast or french toast. Once in a while she will switch it up with a pancake but not often.  Last Tuesday she informed me that she was a "good cooker". She helps me each day and has the measurements to making her oatmeal down. She knows where the measuring cups are, the bowl we use, how much water and oatmeal to use. She likes the Old Fashioned oatmeal. I have tried to get her to eat instant and she won't eat it for me. Perhaps she will for her dad but at Grandma's, nope!

Here she is with her beloved Quaker. I do admit he is kind of ugly but she loves him just the same.

HOLY SILVER TEETH BATMAN!

Emma had her braces put on this morning. She seriously looks like she hates them, like she's miserable, like she will never smile again, like she won't have friends now doesn't she?  Jed sent me this photo from his phone so I will try to get a good close up the next time I see her. Silly girl!
